What did Sommie Maduagwu mention in the WhatsApp conversation?
Amid the sorrow, her friend shared a WhatsApp conversation they had during which they praised Sommie highly. Rinu Oduala, a human rights advocate, portrayed Sommie as a joyful individual who brought happiness to those around her.
Sommie was the happiest woman I encountered during my time at the school of politics, policy, and governance.
She would reach out to everyone, send humorous stickers, and make you feel at home. “Nigeria finally happened to you,” she wrote, along with a broken heart emoji.
In the conversation, Sommie responded to Rinu’s message, stating:
“Camera on, always.”
“Do you have any idea who I’ve nominated for best male student? You should, everyone knows,” Sommie asked.
They then made fun of a friend who was bald.
The two appeared to have a good rapport, as another image revealed Rinu saying to Sommie:
Hi, sister. I had no idea you were involved with the violence committee. Now I understand.
Numerous online users expressed their respects to Sommie, sharing the following messages:

This is truly devastating. May her soul rest in peace. I hope this gets looked into; it surpasses the scope of a simple armed robbery.
@Oluwaderaa:
“I’m so sorry.”
@Aninye1:
She was an extremely kind girl, so unfortunate.
@ReadsChelsea:
I even laughed while reading her final message 😅😅 She must have been a kind, cheerful woman.

This is truly terrible and emotionally distressing.

The armed thieves are said not to have requested money, nor did they steal anything.
