The celebration of our 65th independence day might naturally be subdued, but the importance of the progress we’ve achieved as a country is certainly impressive.
The progress is evident in the impressive accomplishments we’ve achieved in critical areas. It is also reflected in the courageous reforms initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which have restored stability to Nigeria’s economy. Although the efforts may be significant now, there is no question that the outcome will justify the choices if we remain committed.
“Today, as we raise our flags, let us reaffirm our commitment to Nigeria; let us adopt the spirit of unity, and let us maintain the hope that has brought us this far,” he said.
Mbah, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to an inclusive development approach that ensures no one is left out, stated that Enugu State, during his leadership, was progressing toward a revival and experiencing rapid economic expansion.
In Enugu State, this Independence Day serves as an appropriate moment to reaffirm our commitment to making inclusion the foundation of government policy; to generate wealth and use it for the advantage of all people in Enugu State. We remain dedicated to our path. And no one will be overlooked.
“From dormant assets reviving, to Ndi Enugu experiencing a strong feeling of safety for their lives and property, our children moving to 260 Smart Green Schools, rural areas receiving modern healthcare through our completed or current 260 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, Ndi Enugu traveling easily and cheaply through our updated transport system and infrastructure, Enugu State is undoubtedly on the path to a certain recovery and rapid economic development,” he added.
