A father in mourning has requested support from Nigerians in the pursuit of justice for his daughter, a student at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), who is said to have been killed by a friend.
The father, Mr. Idowu Oluwafemi, shared his sorrow in a video and mourned the loss of his daughter.
Father of late Christiana Idowu speaks out
In a video posted by X user @unkleayo, Mr. Idowu Oluwafemi described the heartbreaking events leading to his daughter’s death. He mentioned that his daughter, Christiana Idowu, a third-year student at FUNAAB, was allegedly killed by a friend who was later detained and taken into police custody.
Nevertheless, more than a year following the arrest, the heartbroken father mentioned that his family had not been provided with any information regarding the case.
Mr. Idowu Oluwafemi referred to his daughter as a remarkable student and voiced his disappointment over the slow development of the case.
He implored Nigerians to assist him in pursuing justice for his daughter, expressing that he was suffering and unsure of the location of the suspect.
The father believed the defendant could have been set free, which troubled him as he sought public assistance.

Hello, Nigerians, I’m Mr. Idowu Oluwafemi, the father of Christiana Idowu, who was killed by her friend. It’s almost been a year now, and the boy was taken into police custody, but I haven’t received any updates about the case. My daughter was very talented, and I’m asking all Nigerians to help me.
A 300-level student at FUNAAB, and for over a year now, I haven’t heard anything about her situation. Please, I’m in pain, I’m in the dark, and I’m asking all Nigerians to come to my assistance and help me. Please, I can’t just let a girl disappear like that. Please, Nigerians, come to my aid. I don’t know if the person has been released yet. Please help; only you can assist me, Nigerians.
