Kadjebi (O/R), Oct. 1, GNA – The remains of Alhassan Alasa Inusah, a 27-year-old Senior High School (SHS) graduate, who passed away after drowning in River Menu on Sunday, September 28, have been discovered and buried following Islamic traditions.

His corpse was found on Tuesday, September 30, and interred on the same day in Okanta, close to Kadjebi.

The event took place when the deceased and his twin brother, Inusah Fuseini, were crossing River Menu on a motorcycle using a bamboo footbridge.

Although Fuseini succeeded in swimming to safety, his brother was carried away by the river’s powerful flow.

In conversation with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the site of the funeral prayer, Mr. Inusah Adam, a former member of the Assembly for the Kosamba Electoral Area and father of the deceased, referred to his son as “a friendly, diligent, respected, and modest young man.”

He mentioned that the loss was a deeply painful setback for both the family and the neighborhood.

Thousands of attendees from Kadjebi, Okanta, Menuso, and Awudome Kofe came together at the funeral to honor the respectful and easygoing young man.
